Ambylstegium Serpens, is an aquatic plant moss that thrives in nutrient-rich locations that are not too acidic and are typically joined by other common moss like Brachythecium rutabulum. It is not naturally grown submersed, however it can be trained to survive in planted aquariums, in which it will form sensitive upright growing shoots. This aquatic growth pattern earned it the name “nano moss” in the planted tank community.
