The Anubias barteri var. caladiifolia is a large plant, the largest in its' species, and is found in West African countries. It is usually found in populations along the shallow water banks of rapid rivers along with tropical rain-forest waterfalls. Either the roots are plated in the ground, or they are found to be attached to the side of rocks, and thrive in either shady or sunlit areas. The heart-shaped leaf blades care able to grow as long as 25 centimeters long, ranging from wide to narrow ovate, with the stalk growing to be more than 40 centimeters in length.
