Normally discovered growing emersed in the late spring and submersed in the winter. Moderately undemanding plant, best growth in bright light.

Quicker development with CO2 supplementation, produces larger leaves. Easily propagate by cutting along a primary stem and replanting in substrate, new roots will form. Brighter light permits perfect development of forefront plant; in lower light conditions consider planting as midground plant.

It is most appealing when developed as a thick hedge in the fore-and center ground.

All things considered, Micranthemum umbrosum isn't extremely troublesome in development.
