Cryptocoryne Parva is the smallest cryptocoryne. The species features a great adaptability to cultivation conditions. Its small size makes Cryptocoryne parva an excellent foreground plant, especially for small aquaria and nano tanks. It takes quite some time until it forms a lawnlike population, but it is its slow growth that renders this plant very easy in maintenance.

Even though it counts among the rather slow growing plants, it has enjoyed great popularity for decades due to its easy cultivation. Soft water, as found in the natural locations, isn't necessary for cultivation because Parva also tolerates hard tap water with pH-values within the alkaline range. In a brightly lit aquarium, the leaves will unfold horizontally, in shady places they will develop more upright.
