When submersed, the Echinodorus 'Kleiner Bar' forms a compact, average-sized rosette of rusty red to deep darkish crimson leaves, the colour fades to greenish with age or under low light. Temperature range is 22 - 30 degrees C. Cultivation suceeds in smooth, barely acid water in addition to an exceedingly hard, alkaline environment with no extra CO2 fertilization. Under good developing conditions in the aquarium, Echinodorus 'Kleiner Bar' regularly builds inflorescences with a small range of adventitious plants each."
