Ozelot Sword (Echinodorus 'ozelot') is a beautiful extensive leaf sword with red spots on elongated green leaves. Medium hardiness. It requires rich substrate (nutrients to roots) and is copper sensitive. This species is amphibious, and will develop both submersed or partly submersed. Requiring little attention after the initial planting, the Ozelot Sword is an excellent plant for beginners.

The Ozelot Sword requires moderate to high lighting fixtures, about three watts per gallon furnished by a complete spectrum (5000-7000K) bulbs. The temperature of the water should be among 73-83F, with an alkalinity of three-8 dKH and a neutral pH.

The Ozelot Sword propagates by using rhizomes, or adventitious shoots, that develop off of leaves. A uniquely beautiful plant beneath most occasions, a new leaf once every week isn't uncommon
