The Anubias afzelii is a mineral leave plants that has reddish-brown leaf stocks that grow as a strong and robust plants. When cultivating it in an aquarium, the plant tends to remain small in size, but traditionally is known to grow as long as a meter long and 4 centimeters thick. With oval leaf blades that grow more than 40 cm in length, this species is fully suitable for aquarium immersion for use in the background, but it grows rather slowly so it does not produce a diverse series of appearances like many other plants.
